Frequently Asked Questions:

Question:  What are the most important things I should look for when selecting a contractor?

Answer:  You should always check how long the company has been in business as well as verify their licenses. Hiring an unlicensed roofing contractor could be costly in the long run. You should also check their standing with the Better Business Bureau and the City of Ellsworth. A company with a long history and no complaints is usually a safe choice.  Beware of companies who arrive on the scene shortly after a hailstorm.  They will often not be here in the long-term to warranty their workmanship.

When obtaining multiple bids, be sure that everyone is bidding the same thing, including underlayments and products they are using.  Compare workmanship warranties and read the exclusions.  Don't just take the lowest bid.  Ask questions, make sure you know what you are paying for, and feel confident that you are getting the expertise you deserve.

Question:  What is the approximate price of a new roof?

Answer:   Every roof has different conditions such as debris, flashings, cracked tiles that may need to be replaced, etc.  A few of the determining factors include materials and products selected, square footage and size, whether you are keeping any of your existing roof, and time and labor required to complete the product.  Let us provide you with a free estimate.

Question:  My roof was damaged by a hail storm and I don't know what to do.  Will you work with my insurance company?

Answer:  Absolutely.  Once you have filed the initial claim, we are happy to work directly with your insurance company to help advocate for what is needed and to provide you with seamless, stress-free service and convenience.

Question:  How long will my new roof last?

Answer:  This depends on the type of product that you select..  This is a great question to ask the estimator when they give you the proposal, especially when getting multiple estimates.
